OVERVIEW
Built for dexterous manipulation
The RH56E2 is a heavy-load anthropomorphic dexterous hand from Inspire Robots with six degrees of freedom and twelve joints. The manufacturer states a thumb fingertip force of 30 N and 28 N at the fingers, with built-in force sensors that report finger force distribution; tactile sensor modules can be integrated across the palm. Three versions are documented — resistance tactile (T1, 17 sensors), capacitance tactile (T2, 5 sensors) and non-tactile — each in right- and left-hand models, with power-off self-locking.
Applications
- Heavy-load grasping and manipulation tasks that need grip force together with force feedback.
- Integration as an end effector on robots, controlled over RS485, CAN or ModbusTCP.
- Research platforms that need distributed tactile data across the palm, using the T1 or T2 version.
