OVERVIEW
Built for robotics data capture
UMI Gripper is held like a tool so its recorded end motion can resemble robot pick-and-place. It records a fisheye view of the grasp, jaw angle from a magnetic encoder and six-axis motion with a magnetometer. It remains a distinct product from the finger-mounted UMI Finger.
Applications
- Robot-like pick-and-place demonstrations
- Handheld manipulation data collection
- Fine-operation and contact-detail capture
